Labforward Ramps Up Series B Financing to >8.5 Million Euro in Second Closing

With the successful completion of a second closing, Labforward adds more than three million Euro to the Series B from January, bringing the total funds raised to more than 8.5 million Euro. The majority of the new investment comes from the Fielmann Family Office, majority owner of the leading German family business of the same name that serves its 27 million customers across 15 European markets with eyewear and hearing aids.

Working together with external partners, chemists, materials scientists and chemical engineers at FAU have developed an innovative microcell for water electrolysis. They hope to replace standard plate electrodes used to split water into oxygen and hydrogen with compact, nanostructured tubes. They aim to simplify production, increase flexibility of use and avoid the need for expensive precious metals.
