New Study Gives Heart Attack to Meat Eaters

Compared with meat eaters, fish eaters have a lower risk of several adverse heart diseases, including stroke. These findings, which were part of new research looking at the diets and risk of developing or dying from heart diseases of more than 420,000 people in the UK, also concluded that vegetarianism was associated with a lower risk of developing heart disease.

OHMX.bio, Fujirebio Europe to Develop Clinical In Vitro Diagnostics Platform

Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship has awarded a 720K Euro research grant to OHMX.bio and Fujirebio Europe for developing a clinical in vitro diagnostics platform with third generation sequencing technologies. The project – IVD-seq aims to concentrate on a cost-efficient IVD modular solution for highly polymorphic regions initially and later on intends to expand the solution to other molecular diagnostic markers.
