Editor: Doris Popp
Biotecon launched the newly developed real-time PCR cycler, the Dualo 32, which together with the foodproof Beer Screening Kits and foodproof Spoilage Yeast Detection Kits can detect more than 30 of the most important beer spoilage bacteria and several spoilage yeasts.
The Dualo 32 is a robust 32-well instrument optimized for Biotecon Diagnostics’ foodproof Kits and Lyokits. It has a simple workflow — intuitive software, preinstalled protocols for all testing parameters and automated report generation. The boasts dual technology allows full spectrum optics for hybridization and hydrolysis probe assays. The Dualo 32 has a small footprint, which make it perfect for labs with minimal space and small to medium throughput as the company states. According to a press release it is the ideal entry model for labs introducing real-time PCR methods to ensure constant high quality of beer and beverages. The Throughput of the cycler is 32 samples per run and the Reaction volume lies between 10 and 100 µl. The dual technology allows the full spectrum optics for hybridization and hydrolysis probe assays.
