Analyzers Versatile Particle Size Analysis
At this year's Forum Labo Paris, Fritsch will be presenting its new particle analyzers Analysette 22 Next Micro and Nano. The devices are suited for efficient particle size analysis in production and quality control, research and development or for controlling manufacturing processes.
With the completely revised Analysette 22 Next Micro, Fritsch offers a particle analyzer that covers all typical measurement task ranging from 0.05 to 1500 µm. The high-end device Analysette 22 Next Nano on the other hand features an extra wide measuring range of 0.01 to 3800 µm for maximum precision and sensitivity for smallest particles with an additional detector system. Advantages of the new devices include easy operation, short analysis times, reliably reproducible results, and the recording of additional parameters such as temperature and pH value during wet dispersion.
Like all Fritsch Laser Particle Sizers, the new generation Analysette 22 Next operates with the patented Reverse Fourier design. The Laser Particle Sizer uses only one laser and does not need an additional light source even for backward scattering. Therefore it records the entire measuring range with only one scan, delivering even faster measurement results. The measuring time is less than one minute — including residue-free cleaning.
The ideal method of preparation for particle size measurement is wet dispersion. With its cleverly reduced design and solid, robust engineering, the dispersion unit of the Analysette 22 Next is designed for an especially long service life and is practically maintenance-free, the company states. Completely without valves and moveable seals in the sample circulation system, the device ensures amongst others that no dead spaces occur and no sample material can accumulate and settle. A powerful centrifugal pump with individually adjustable speed ensures stable measuring in the dispersion unit. To measure samples tending to agglomerate, the company offers a high-performance ultrasonic box that guarantees a practically maintenance-free dispersion unit without soiling and without wear.
