As of April 2021, Shimadzu will integrate its Fluidics business unit into its wholly owned subsidiary Infraserv Vakuumservice. The merger of the two companies is intended to combine their strengths in product range and services in one place in order to provide customers with even more targeted and better support.
Eching/Germany — Shimadzu, one of the world's leading companies in instrumental analysis, will integrate its Fluidics Systems Europe business unit into its wholly owned subsidiary Infraserv Vakuumservice from April 2021. The merger of the two companies is expected to combine their strengths and lead to synergies that will provide more targeted and better support for customers in Europe's industrial and off-highway markets. Infraserv Vakuumservice has its specific strengths in repair, maintenance, consulting and sales capabilities, special solutions and training. Fluidics Systems Europe brings to Infraserv Vakuumservice's portfolio robust cast-iron hydraulic pumps and valve blocks as well as compact power packs and customized developments.
The two units are also moving closer together in spatial terms: previously based in Duisburg at Shimadzu's European headquarters, the Fluidics Systems Europe business unit is now moving under the umbrella of Infraserv Vakuumservice. As before, product solutions will be sold under the Shimadzu brand name. From April 1, 2021, all ordering, delivery and invoicing processes will be handled by Infraserv Vakuumservice, including all customer relations and sales activities. The sales contacts will remain the same.
