The automation upgrade of Akzo Nobel’s Guangzhou plant in China is expected to increase its water-based paints production capacity from 88 million liters to 140 million per year. Once fully operational, the facility will increase water reuse by 70 % and reduce waste water by 50 %.
The mega LNG facility is expected to offer the least CO2 per tonne in its liquid natural gas as compared to other producers of LNG. Akzo Nobel will supply customised protective coatings solutions from its Chartek range for the first construction phase of the plant.

Nouryon has successfully produced the first ethylene amines products in a Swedish demonstration plant, confirming the new technology on an industrially relevant scale and marking the next step towards full commercialization. The company plans to built a world-scale manufacturing facility based on this new technology.
Nouryon has undertaken this move after completing a major expansion project at its site in China. Its plant can now produce up to 38,000 tonnes per year of Dicumyl Peroxide. The project is expected to meet the growing demand for DCP within the region as well as around the globe.
