Müllheim/Germany – Sustainability and innovation are the focus at Hellma for the benefit of customers and partners. In addition to many internal measures that Hellma is implementing in this sense, one of the latest building blocks is now becoming visible to customers and the laboratory market: An innovative glass volume marking, using laser technology, replaces the previous marking with burn in decals.

The innovative glass volume marking provides a significant higher sustainability!

Compared to the energy-intensive furnace-based process in addition to the use of chemicals for printing of the colored decals, laser marking is characterized by significant reduction of energy consumption and the complete absence of chemicals.

This means:

  • less energy consumption in the labelling process
  • complete elimination of chemicals in the labeling process
  • reduction in the variety of necessary materials
  • reduction of waste in the production process

Further advantages beyond that:

  • no impairment of the optical surfaces
  • wear-free marking that remains as clear and clearly legible even after years of usage
  • 100 % resistance to chemicals
  • Hellma brand logo on every cuvette to be sure it’s an original

Good to know: The new labeling has no effect on the form, functionality and specification of the products; RoHS conformity is of course guaranteed.
